CONCENTRATION IN CLASSICAL STUDIES

 Lower-division pre-requisites:
One from CLA 10A-B-C or CLA 27A-27B
Either LATN1-2-3-4 (or equivalent) or GRK 1-2-3 (or equivalent)

Additionally, you are required to complete any course-specific pre-requisites.

MAJOR Concentration: SIX (6) upper-division courses as follows:

One upper-division course in either Latin or Greek

  • Five upper-division courses selected from:
    • Greek at or above the 100 level
    • Latin at or above the 100 level
    • AHS 174, 148; CLA 100, HISE 110, CLA 110 (E-Z), LATN 110, CLA 112, CLA 120, CLA 114, CLA 165, PHIL121Q, POSC110, RLST 136, THEA 125E.

MINOR Concentration: FOUR (4) upper-division courses as follows:

One upper-division course in either Latin or Greek

  • Three upper-division courses selected from:
    • Greek at or above the 100 level
    • Latin at or above the 100 level
    • AHS 174, 148; CLA 100, HISE 110, CLA 110 (E-Z), LATN 110, CLA 112, CLA 120, CLA 114, CLA 165, PHIL 121Q, POSC 110, RLST 136, THEA 125E.
